The Newcastle Evening Chronicle editions for the 1920s and 1930s are, sadly, not yet online.

Is this the death?
William FRASER Q3 1935, Newcastle  Upon Tyne 10b  11

If so, I can't see a probate record for him which would give a date of death which could well result in someone looking at Newcastle Library's microfilmed newspapers for you.
If you know the date of death, then that would really help as it can take a 'very' long time to page though a whole 3 months of newspapers looking for a death notice, when all you know is the year and which quarter and people don't usually have that much time to spare at the library.

Thankyou Boo
For the information i will get the death certificate as you say it would take a lot of time searching for the death entry.i thought if there had been a chronicle notice it would have said his burial details as i would like to know were he is buried
Kind regards Catherine

In case you aren't aware, the GRO now do a .pdf of the entry (rather than a cert on posh paper) for £7, which as it gives the same info as a posh cert is a better price than £11.

Once you have a death date then a newspaper look up request becomes more likely to be taken up  as it narrows down the  editions to page through to a few days. If there is a notice then yes they did usually say where the burial was to take place.

Fingers crossed that you get there in the end :-)

Super find!  jonw65 :-)

Though the surname uses a Z rather than an S in his surname, the deaths index only has one entry for a William Fra*er in 1935, Newcastle so this looks like Catherine may have him now.

Hopefully the burial date will now help someone at the library to see if there was a death notice.

Yes, Boo, fingers crossed it is the right man!
Burials could be very soon after death in those days - Thomas Simpson, age 68, of 14 Broadway Villas, was buried at West Road on the same day.
Death registration of Thomas also has the same GRO ref as William Fraser, vol 10b page 11
And there is an entry in the 1935 probate calendar for Thomas Simpson, he died 11 September.

The voters listed at that address in 1934 were
William Fraser
Elizabeth Fraser

If his wife, Mary, predeceased him this may have been a daughter or another relative, but we don't have that info.

Much appreciated I think this could well be William Fraser as he did have a daughter Elizabeth also I never knew you could get certificate for £7 it makes it a lot cheaper when your doing family trees
