The 1854 marriage certificate would help,but as a civil record it won't be online.

With David and Ellen Roberts in 1851 is a daughter called Mary.... and Humphrey and Annie had a daughter in Patagonia called Maria Elena which is presumably Mary Ellen in English so another possible link.

Much as i would love to solve the puzzle, i’m not planning  to buy certificates for other people’s trees  ::) But this has been an interesting - if difficult - search.

What is the Census Ref for the Humphrey in Llanddeiniolen ? There appears to be more than one in  the area.
