Benjamin Tomkinson Marriage Record

I'm attaching a scan of the marriage record of Benjamin Tomkinson at Norton Le Moors. Staffordshire, 1770. The entry for the parish of Benjamin is mostly obliterated. It could be different from Norton and I would be glad for any suggestions of what it might be.

It has been transcribed on Free Reg as Norton le Moors.

Not sure I'd be confident of transcribing that as Norton le Moors.

Not sure if this helps! 

The ending looks as if there might be an 'l' or double 'l' before the last letter 's'.
Difficult to say what the first letter is even.

Thanks for the replies. The obliterated parish of Benjamin's residence does not appear on FindMyPast's transcription, and it looks as if it could be different from Norton. I have a possible baptism for him elsewhere and the obliterated parish could have confirmed this.

Do you know if his parish is still given as Staffordshire? - hard to tell from the clip you first put on, as the beginning of the next like after the smudge of his parish, is cut off.
That might narrow it down - just a little!
Did he live long enough to make the 1841 Census to say which county he was born in?
Where is the baptism you think may be his? Does it look anything like the smudge?

The full posted image can be seen by opening the file under the first image. I can only make out "of".
I had thought he must have been the son of Joseph and Joyce of Endon, baptised 1743, but he seemed to have married Dorothy Crompton, not Anne Edwards. Another suitable Benjamin was the son of John and Joyce Tomkinson, baptised Leek, 1744. However, I can't find a marriage of a John to Joyce. As I write this I notice that the two Benjamins sons of John and Joyce and Joseph and Joyce were both baptised on the 13 Jan 1743/4. Endon being a chapel of Leek. It looks like an error and John should have been Joseph - scuppered again!
