In 1911  they are in Tisbury district and he is said to be born in East Knoyle.
In 1939 they are still in Tisbury his date of birth given as 20 Jun 1874
I think he may be  the one in Swindon in 1901 but born in Cricklade! He at least is a police officer!
on his marriage he says his father was John Perrett a labourer deceased
Can anyone see him on any other censuses please

He is quite a mystery man, I have him playing cricket for the Tisbury Police along with two PC Burry s  who are on my tree both married to Perrett sisters but they are daughters of James PERRETT. I feel there must be a link somewhere along the line

Having spotted "East Knoyle" in 1911 I wondered whether he'd been "confused" in 1901 re "Cricklade".

Perhaps he was stationed there? ie.
Swindon Advertiser, 30 Jan 1903
" ... the tenement at present occupied by the Police at Cricklade ..."

Married "9 years" in 1911 - pl ignore 30 yr anniversary previously posted.
