Identify this hotel anyone? Belle Vue Hotel
« on: Saturday 08 June 19 15:13 BST (UK) »
Hi This is my first post, let's see how it goes. The photo has the date March 30th 1940 very faintly on the back. It would be very handy for me to identify the girl if only I knew where in the U.K the picture was taken. Can anyone help?

It looks a little bit like the Belle Vue Hotel in Cheltenham here: https://pubshistory.com/Gloucestershire/Cheltenham/BelleVueHotel.shtml

Welcome to Rootschat sylvid!

And fantastic spot Gan Yam!

Looks like you've got it in one...... ;D

Added:  although if this young lady was on her holidays in Cheltenham, maybe it won't help pin her down in terms of identity?

Thank you so much. All of my family are  from the Cotswolds some lived in Cheltenham, so it will help a lot.

Should have said welcome Sylvid.  :) If its 1940 is it possible she is an evacuee rather than being on holiday?

The photo is taken in Sandford Park, just across the High Street from the hotel
