Sarah Bamford

Sarah Bamford died in Hull in July 1859 aged 89.  Her husband appears to have died before March 1824.  I'd like to know his name, if someone can find a marriage, please.

This is pure speculation but there is a burial in 1823 in Hull for a Robert Bamford aged 44 and a marriage in Sculcoates of a Robert Bamford of Hull to a Sarah Long of Sculcoates 8 November 1798. Whether or not the two are linked I don't know as Robert would have been 9 years younger than Sarah, presuming the ages at death are correct.

This couple appear to have had a number of children between 1800 and 1812. Robert Bamford's occupation is given as hairdresser.

I also note that there is a burial for a Robert Bamford in Hull Aug 23 1823 age 44 of Broadly Square.
There is a possible will showing in the Prerogative and Exchequer Court of York Index - February 1824 Robert Bamford of Hull.

Brilliant, both of you.  This fits with what I already know and gives me significant details I didn't have.

Need a check here as Yorkshire Burial & Bishops Transcript show a different Burial date for Robert in St Mary, Hull.

Is it very different from the one Millmoor gave?  That one fits perfectly.

Both dates are for Roberts Burial but are registered as Burial, Robert Bamford, St Mary, Hull, 15th August, Aged 44yrs, Minister John Scott.  Why they are both for the 16th & not the 23rd as William pointed out, i do not know.

Yes the burial was on the 16 Aug. 1823. I clearly wrote the wrong number down ( yet another senior moment!).
