Thorn family from Berkshire England to Canada or USA
« on: Monday 10 June 19 05:04 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I wonder if someone could assist me please.   Our Thorn family came from Reading Berkshire,
parents William and Mary Ann Thorn are the parents.    We have been unable to find the whereabouts of certain of their children, and I list same as follows:

James Augustine Thorn b. 1857 Copdock Suffolk, England have been unable to find his whereabouts after 1901 census where he is living with his parents aged 43 years

Walter Thorn b. 1866 Frimley, Surrey -nothing after 1911 census

Albert Thorn b. 1870 Frimley, Surrey  - no results.

Some of the family members, including a sister Kate Thorn who married a Goddard did travel over to Canada at times, and we have quite some information on her, through another posting on this website.

As we are unable to find the above listed siblings, we are thinking that maybe they made their way to Canada.

Wondering if anyone could assist to see if there are any shipping arrivals for any of the abovenamed, who would have been living around Reading Berkshire before their possible departure from England.

Thanks Rosie,
Looks like these could be them, will check these out today, doesn't appear any arrivals in Canada then.    So many Thorns, thought there could be a possibility of any one of them going to Canada.

Thank you all for your assistance.
