Refreshments and canapes, mix and mingle
6pm: Genealogy and the Internet A Match Made in Heaven with Cyndi Ingle:- The Internet was made for genealogy. It really was. All the cool things we can do online make our life much easier and our research more productive: searching, sharing, publishing, and more. But, the Internet is also filled with pitfalls that hinder us: searching, sharing, publishing, and more. The trick is to learn to be savvy about using all the online tools available to us to make this truly a match made in heaven.

7pm: The Future of Family History with Nick Barratt
The talk will reflect on some of the fundamental shifts in research techniques, driven by the digital revolution and instant access to billions of records online. It covers DNA and connectivity as well as personal archiving and access to records in the future, plus some of the applied practical uses of family history for people and communities - with reference to education, ancestral tourism and lifestyle improvements.

8pm: Q&A session and interactive discussion.
