Henry GIBBS, 13, a Page in Bucks Lane Lunatic Asylum, Ipswich
« on: Tuesday 11 June 19 16:39 BST (UK) »
Hi, Everyone,
Have been recently looking into the GIBBS family of Ipswich.  In the 1861 Census there is an entry for a Henry GIBBS, aged just 13, occupation given as "Page" in the Lunatic Asylum at Bucks Lane, Ipswich.
Now, could someone tell me what kind of role he would have played at a fairly tender age as a Page there...
Many thanks, Keith
