Mystery signature - solved thanks
« on: Wednesday 12 June 19 20:44 BST (UK) »
Hi
After my success yesterday here's a name I can't make out.  The surname I'd say is Walsh and there is no other writing on the document for clues other that I've shown.

Thanks

It's L Prendergast Walsh. The L stands for Langton.

Fantastic response ShaunJ, thank you very much.
This signature is on the discharge papers for my G-G-Grandfather Senior Inspector Jeremiah Sullivan who served in the Aden Police Corps from Dec 1867 to 24th February 1882.
I'd be very grateful for any further information you may have about the Aden police at that time, I'm seeking anything I can possibly find about Jeremiah.  Perhaps there were news reports, census that may show his address or the holy grail, an official photograph.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve, I have no special knowledge of the Aden Police. I just read the name and googled it!

Brilliant, thanks.  I couldn't read it to google it but I've found him now.
