John Hughes b1890 Glasgow d1964 British Colombia

My uncle John Hughes emigrated from Gateshead England to Canada.Married Elizabeth Geddis who followed from England, a widow with one son.
John and Elizabeth Hughes had one son John 1928 to 1996,he married Rita MacDonald and they had two children a son and a daughter ,who are still living
I   understand from the website Ancestry that they are looking for family history details,but I am unable to contact them through that website
Does anyone have any ideas how I could let them have the information I have? My father was Uncle John's youngest brother

Sorry to be so long before I contacted you again
I have now been back to our new Family History Department and the family tree is just called Hughes Family

Unfortunately I cannot send a PM because I cannot find out how to do it
It seems one or two people seem to be looking for the information I have but I still cannot find any more about John Hughes in Canada's parents, they were married in Glasgow and died in Gateshead where they had most of their children including my father

The owner of the tree you refer to has not been online for 1 year.  Jacquie isn't around at the moment but I have sent a message for you, directing them to this thread.  Fingers crossed you may get a response.  Hope this helps

Hi Sandra
Just found the details from the newspaper obituary notice of Uncle John Hughes.I was delighted with the information as we did not know anything about his family.I knew he married Elizabeth,a widow from Durham with a son and they went over to Canada followed by her widowed father.
I also found from the Ancestry website that they had a son called John who would have been my cousin.
I can see from the same website that some of the family are or have been wanting details of the family back in England but I cannot seem to get in touch
Once again thank you for your help I am delighted

I have checked periodically but the owner of that anc tree has not been on line for over a year. Sadly,  no response to the message I left for you.
