A tree on Ancestry has his parents as James and Mary - are you aware of this tree?

All you said at the start was-
I am looking for any info on james waddell born Newcastle on tyne 1823 & died petrolia Canada 1889 hw married matilda Christie @ 1850 he was a widower at the time- he was presnbyterian and listed as Scottish on the census I cant find anything about him before 1850
(On the other thread you just said "my gg grandmother matilda jane Christie was born @1822/23 father was Andrew she married james waddell in Canada@1850" without bothering to give the date, etc. You've also given the date of a first marriage before 1850

We have no way of knowing what details you already have. The information already posted does contain details about James & wife Matilda before 1850.

Suggest you go back through what's already been posted on both threads and what you have in your notes. Perhaps others are still willing to help you.
