Somebody has dates wrong?

Do not know if anyone else has come across this but according to a education translation on FindMyPast Lilian was born in 1901 (which is correct) but  her admission date was in 1895, have not come across that before??

I would guess a simple transposition of the two dates.

Have you looked at the original document? It has her date off birth as 23 April 1901 and date of admission 13 July 1908 - prev. school Morecambe. It is, I believe, an error on the transcription.

That particular admissions register starts with a date of admission number 1  of 2 12 1895. All the years of admission seem to be  given as 1895.

As William found, the one that has Lillian Emma Gibbs' admission is for 1908, as are others on the page.

The transription gives the start and end dates of the register, which are 1895-1917.

I meant that the transcription page has all the dates of admission as 1895, not the actual register.
