Edward Francis Saunders burial site
« on: Monday 17 June 19 11:05 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find where my Great Grandfather is buried. His name is Edward Francis Saunders and he died in Llandridnod Wells in 1930. He lived in London in the Balham area. We can’t find himself far. Can anyone help?

We can advise if you tell us which sites/resources you used so far?
Do you have the death certificate?
How old was he?

Yes I have a death certificate but it doesn’t say where he is buried, just where he died. He was born 27th Dec 1858 at Ballinderry House in Ireland. I have used ancestry.com and phoned around South London cemeteries. Next step is going to the British Library to look up orbituary pages. He was very wealthy, so I’m sure there would have been one in some newspaper.

I can see the probate details online. Died 14th May

Did you check for newspaper announcement(s)?

It's a bit mangled in OCR transcription, but could this be relevant? (not read it myself)

What family did he leave behind? There are a couple of newspapers with list of mourners around that time

Thank You.
I’ve just received an email from the church in Llandridnod Wells. He’s buried there. Thank you for your help.
