1901 Leftovers: Difficult to interpret ... what to do ??

This is a beauty!!

I think the two surnames are definatley Inglis and Fenner.  I looked on ancestry.com and magnified to 200% to get a better look, and I found the Fenner's in 1891 with clearer handwriting.

Even at 200% the first name looks like "aaster" but the second letter could be a "d", either way it doesn't make sense.  The only person anywhere near resembling this in 1891 is Alice J Inglis b 1834 Scotland, but I can't even at a stretch make the 1901 handwriting look like Alice.

On the second specimen:

I don't see Maria, myself.
I was thinking "Aada" - perhaps the writer simply made a mistake in putting two a's at the beginning.

Another selection of his handwriting with A and C.  My first thought had been Clara but when I compared with other As and Cs I decided it must be A.  I also looked up on ancestry in 1891 and found Alcie but couldn't turn this into Alice.  I am happy with Inglis and Fenner so at least with surnames, age and place of birth  people should be able to find who they want.

10 yrs after doesn't exist yet - this is  the 1901   
(from what I've read the next one may never be published- it's a real smelly relly)

Colin tried the 1891 and I had already tried that.  The only possibility was an Alice.
