Is it possible to get service records for the 2nd Batallion Sherwood Foresters from 1930's?

Thanks Ken

As with all personnel serving after 1920, these records will still be with the MOD.

To apply, see: https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records

There is a fee of £30 and (unless he died in service) a death certificate is required.
You don't need a service number, but it's helpful to have one. Date of birth will usually suffice.
