Sarah Dashwood
« on: Wednesday 26 June 19 08:45 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information on Sarah Dashwood born as Sarah Phillips in 1866, the daughter of William & Harriet Phillips in Portsea. She appears with the family in 1871 census (age 5) and 1881 (age 15). In 1897 she married Ernest Evered Dashwood. I did find and get a death cert for a Sarah Dashwood in 1925 I. Wight but wrong lady. Any assistance greatly appreciated. David

Have you looked for her with husband in post-marriage censuses, and any children born?

I don’t think she did marry Ernest E Dashwood, did she? He seems to have married Fanny Louisa Smith.

The Sarah Phillips sharing that marriage reference married Thomas Edwin Pattenden, but she’s not yours - seems to have been born in Ireland.

It looks as though Sarah Phillips died unmarried in Portsmouth on 26 March 1923, aged 56.  The informant on her death cert was a daughter, S. Duke, according to a public online tree.

In 1911 Ernest, (b c 1870 Compton Valence) was living with wife, Louisa F and family in Portsmouth, Southsea.
Eldest listed child, Dorothea Victoria Evered Dashwood, Mar Q 1898, Portsea. Mmn Smith (GRO Index)

Ernest (H!) Dashwood married Louisa (M!) Ferris June 1916 Christchurch.
(PS I ignore this! - Louisa F is Fanny Louisa)
