Edward's age in the obit looks like 54 to me
Elizabeth's age in her obit looks like 63, not 83. That may be where the confusion is.

Her ages by census and death:
Elizabeth
1870: age 24
1880: age 30
1900: age 50, born March 1850
1910: age 53
1919: age 63

Note, in 1870 she wasn't married yet to a slightly younger man, and did not have that reason to underestimate her age.

I would agree that Edward R was 54 years old when he died and that Elizabeth was 63 when she died and not 83 as I first read it!!

In time I will go back to look at Ireland, the obit for John Joseph Audley suggests that he was born in Belfast Ireland; but before I look at Ireland I need to write up all the information you have given me from the various census records.

Elizabeth Audley was living with Peter and Jane Keever in 1870 in New York City. Jane's maiden name was Audley. I couldn't tell if she was Elizabeth's sister, cousin, or whatever. Maybe her full death record will list her parents' names. But not a real good chance in that time frame.

Jane died 5 July 1875, Manhattan, age 32, marital status unknown [according to the transcript]

then chasing down his petition for naturalization might tell you his county of birth, there's about a 50-50 chance.

You said that John Joseph Audley may have been born in Belfast. For what it's worth, I found this for an Elizabeth Audley, but with a father named Pat:

baptized 21 September 1848

Elizabeth Audly, daughter of Pat Audly and Elizabeth Gorton. sponsor: Catherine O'Donnell

I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it, for being the right Elizabeth. Also I found no Jane or John in the baptisms in Belfast, according to ancestry.com's reading and indexing of the names.

I'm pretty sure I found Bridget arriving twice, the second time with a Mary Duddy. both had been in the US and lived in Kansas City previously. This is probably Bridget's first arrival. Not very helpful to your search overall, but here it is anyway:

Unfortunately, after all that, I couldn't tie the second family to yours, except that they were both in Kansas City, Missouri. Maybe they shared a common address in the city directories, or an obituary will name one or the other.

Also unfortunately, there are no baptism records before 1880 microfilmed for Headford Parish, aka Killursa and Killower, which you  would need if your Audley family is from the same place as the children of Thomas and Katherine (Leonard) Audley.

Also unfortunately, Elizabeth Audley Burke died at a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas is a lot harder to get certificates from than Missouri. see:

As far as I am aware there were two, apparently separate, Audley Families that appear to have lived in Kansas City at around the same time. Families stories are that each of the Audley Families knew of each other, through work, although were not related. I have a lot of information about the Audley Family  that descends from Thomas Audley & Catherine Leonard from Galway in Ireland. I am now trying to work up the information about the other Audley Family that were the subject of my original message.
 The thing that stands out to me is that in the 1910 census of 4013 Bellview the head of the family is a Thomas Burke it would be interesting if that Thomas Burke was in some way related to the Edward Burke who married Elizabeth Audley in 1877 then we may have a link.

I have been at a Family Birthday this evening so have not been able to look at all your information in detail.

When I suggested this, I didn't realize that your John Audley was still in St Joseph, Missouri, in 1910. Thomas Burke arrived in 1888 and was boarding in Kansas City, MO, in 1891. When the younger John and Maggie Audley arrived, they went to Thomas Burke's in Kansas City, not to the older John Audley in St Joseph.

So it's a dead end there.
