F.W. Woolworth stores and Liverpool, UK

While looking into the history of a house in Liverpool, now demolished, I have found that in the 1920s and 1930s it was occupied by a Mr William H. Brunner, his wife Blanche and a young son, also William.  The elder William was a US citizen and a director of the UK Woolworth business, and the Liverpool branch was the first to be set up over here.

I have been told that the house was bought by the original F.W. Woolworth for his daughter, but I have no way of discovering whether he had a daughter named Blanche. 

If there is anyone who can add to or disprove this story I would be pleased to hear from them.

William H Brunner's wife was Blanche Jeannette Luff. Married in Wilmington Delaware, 6 September 1915.

The house name was Rock Mount or Rockmount. Per directories, the occupier in 1911 was George H Daglish; 1914 was Mrs Geo H Daglish.

Thanks for your posts.  I replied to the first but it has not appeared yet.
Very useful info about the marriage, and that is the correct house.  I know lots about the earlier history, but am building on that with the Brunner occupation and later a Mr Gould before the place was used as a nurses training school.

You'll have seen that the house was advertised for sale in September 1939 - "to be sold at a bargain price".

Yes, thank you.  That fits in with the departure of Mr Brunner to USA, not long afterwards. 
I have also seen the Echo piece on the opening of the house for nurses training, Sept 1956.

no mention of any sons, and no mention of Liverpool in the article.
Wikipedia is as far as I looked. other sources might say more.
