Dorrington family
« on: Friday 28 June 19 14:58 BST (UK) »
Benjamin Dorrington married Ann(e) Coles in 1842 in Peterborough.

In 1851 they are living at Gable End Lodge Coppingford Huntingdon with daughter Martha aged 5 and son Benjamin aged 9 ? months.

I have Benjamin (b1818) and Ann (b1820) Dorrington with their son Benjamin (b1851) on the 1881 census living in Whittlesey (or Whittlesea.)

But where are Benjamin and Ann and their children in 1861 and 1871 - can't find them on either of these two census.

Ann Dorrington died in 1889 - husband Benjamin Dorrington in 1893.  Both died in Whittlesey.

In the first half of the 20th century there was at least one Dorrington living in Cambridge; Nurse Dorrington (don't know her first name ) who attended the birth of my cousins and me between 1930 and 1940.
