Marriage -

Hartlepool Northern Daily Mail 04 August 1934

Leggett - Tate. On August 4th by licence Ernest Victor Leggett to Catherine Mary Retika.

It would appear that Catherine was previously married to a Tate.

The name Catherine Mary Retika tie in with Catherine M R Griffith's baptism 7 Aug 1892, Holy Trinity, Hull. Catherine was born 12 Jul 1892.

Mabel and Jen, you've both been incredibly good.  You've saved me hours, and found out so much.

Update, 22:16, is it normal to call a workhouse inmate a patient?

Thank you,

Martin
