Abergwyngregyn bombing range
« on: Monday 01 July 19 08:06 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know where a WWII mortar training ground was in Aber? I know where the rifle range is by the sea shore but this range was up the valley somewhere.
many thanks.

Hello YrElldee,

This question might be better put to another website. I suggest you try Three Towns Forum which covers this area and has some in depth local knowledge that you require.

I do have some local knowledge but haven't heard of anything like this in Aber. I know there was a range on Conwy Mountain where they used explosives. Also, there was a gun site on the side of the Great Orme in Llandudno, the remains are there to this day.
