Butler Family, - help needed.
« on: Monday 01 July 19 10:41 BST (UK) »

I have Patrick Butler, Baptized on the 26th February 1801 in Galway, the son of Anne and William Butler.

He Married Jane Howard, (Born 1810 in Ireland).

Between 1830 and 1850 they had 3 sons and 5 daughters.

The family are on the 1841 Census in Manchester, Lancs. England.

Patrick Butler Died on the 13th June 1866 in Manchester, and Jane Butler Died in Manchester on the 25th June 1866.

I'm trying to find the names of all of the children.

Cheers, Romilly.

You have Patrick Butler, Baptized on the 26th February 1801 in Galway, the son of Anne and William Butler.

He Married Jane Howard, somewhere in some Church in Ireland, are there baptism records for whatever Church it was?
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Many thanks for all the info ShaunJ, - greatly appreciated.

And yes, - he is the Coach Body Builder in Chorlton.

hallmark, I can't find that Baptism. I was talking the date from a Tree on Ancestry.

I think that Patrick Butler is the link that matches me to about 6 of my DNA Matches. The problem is that he's on my Paternal (Wilson) Brickwall side, and so I'm trying to get back to him via the Trees put on Ancestry by my matches. The problem is that the info differs on many of them:-(

In the 1861 census he's Richard Butler

That would explain why I couldn't find him! (Good names for the daughters, - hopefully they will be easier to find. I've never come across Mazbath before!:-)

Thanks, Romilly.

Looks like "Mazbath" should be May Beth or something similar. There's an 1844 baptism for Mary Elizabeth Butler on the MLFHS catholic records site:

Yes, I noticed that someone had submitted a correction to 'Elizabeth' on Ancestry.

The family are the 'Butter' family on the 1851 Census!
