German Family History

I've been searching for months and I can't find anything about my family one of them served in WW1 for the Germans and earned an iron cross his name was Felix Guennel and they moved to the us around the 30s his son served as a Warrent officer for the us army his name was Erwin Guennel

Welcome.
If they moved to the US in "around the 30's" then they should appear on the 1940 census.
What state were they in, what exactly does it say for each family member on that census?

Do you know:
when any of these people died,
where they were, and
what age they were thought to have been at death?

TELL us what these details are.

I can only find FIVE Guennel born in Germany in the 1940 census - Could Felix have chaged his name ? Eugene b 1893 is the only one old enough to have fought in WW1  UNLESS KURT DID AGE 16 IN 1919 ??

A quick search reveals U.S. World War II Army Enlistment
Erwin F Guennel, born 1920
Erwin F Guennel was born in 1920, at (place not available to non-subscribers  )
Erwin lived , Ohio (presumably at enlistment time)

According to that 1930, they entered the US in 1926, having wed around 1914 (16 years before 1930)
Henry Ott (emily's brother?) Entered 1922

The 1930 Father (Born 15 Dec 1886) dies 1936. His father stated as Alvin Guennel

I found all those German born Guennel on Rootspoint Pauline - all 1940 census - to be honest I haven't looked at 1930 census results
