William or Neil Ward marriage to Jane Meechan

Hi,

After reaching many brickwalls with my Irish roots, I am hoping I could get some help from this community I have worked my way back to the mid 1800s for possible birth dates of my 3x great grandparents - one of which is William Ward, living in Derry in 1879, who was named on the marriage record of his son, also William Ward, to Annie O'Connor - on his son's death certificate the name Neil Ward is listed as his father and his mother as Jane Meechan - I cannot find any record of a marriage with either a Neil or William to a Jane Meechan - hoping someone could give me some pointers please.

Can you post Link to Certs being referred to?

That way one might get addresses, their Religion etc

Hi,

Yes, I have William and Annie's marriage record and also William's death - I cannot find birth certs for either of them or anything about their parents.  Apologies, William Ward and Mary Barker are Williams parents - Jane Meechan and Daniel O'Connor are Annie's.

Thanks for the links and replying - yes, I had ascertained that the only real chance I have is locating the parish records, if any still exist, (I have got lucky with this a couple of times in the past)....or distant relatives connect with me at some point in the future lol. 

And thank you for the record also - I did have this on an old laptop and I cannot find it again for love nor money!

Have you Searched 1901 Census for Parents?

Estimate an age for them in 1901...  e.g. 70?  Gets you 65 to 75 y.o.'s
