William King died Lavenham 1826
« on: Sunday 07 July 19 23:04 BST (UK) »
I have found a death record that may be my ancestor. The transcription says William King, died 19 Nov 1826, Lavenham. I am trying to find out his occupation or anything else about him. So far there is nothing in the newspaper. My hope is that he is a tailor (not to be confused with William King, tailor married to Ann Abbott - although more than likely a relative). I believe he went bankrupt in 1822. I would love to confirm that this is him. Thanks for any help.

Just for anyone else looking at this, he was aged 65 i.e. bc.1761.

Thanks solidrock and Annette7. I checked out Ray's website which is full of great information. So far I don't see him but will look again because there are tons of William Kings :)  Annette7 thanks for adding his potential birth year. I forgot that detail that might help in finding verification.

A maltster named Wm King is listed at Lavenham in Pigot's 1823 directory but not in the 1830 edition.
