elusive Great great Grandfather & Grandmother (Hull)
« on: Wednesday 10 July 19 16:40 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

can anybody help me with an issue ive been continually having!

I've been looking for my 2x Great grandparents date of death, for around a year now, contacting several family members to help (leading to nothing).
I was told they are both buried in western cemetery (Hull) but because i haven't got a date of death, the time frame is too large to look effectively, i have always been told they died before my grandfather was born (1937-2010). however, i have trailed the burial records myself and are unable to find them. I've tried newspapers too but i can't seem to find a probate, will or death announcement

bare in mind, the last name Harrison and Henry are so common in the 1800! >:( >:( this is the information i have so far

Henry Harrison - 17th July 1871 (Sculcoates)
parents are John Harrison (1837-1900) and Maria Harrison (Nee Shipley) (1836-1980)

Henrys wife is Hannah Harrison (Nee Dealtry) Born around 1875.

Henry and Hannah married on the 15th January 1893 in Kingston upon Hull, at the parish church in drypool. They had 3 children;
Frederick (abt. 1904)
Elsie (abt 1905)
Henry (1910-1991)

any ideas or information that could help me would be amazing!

HMm. I think you have either the wrong kids, or the wrong parents.

Do you have a birth certificate for any of them?

I think this is could be Hannah in 1881. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27B-QCG8

For starters - which is the last census where you have found them?  Presumably 1911 from your comments.  :-\

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

Yes Henry and Hannah were last in the 1911 census at 11 Cicero Terrace Swann Street Hull Yorkshire
Irritating that we dont have access to the 1921 as of yet!  :(.

also, the parents to frederick, elsie and Henry are Henry and Hannah Harrison (Nee Dealtry),
Henry (1871) father is John Harrison and Maria Harrison (Nee Shipley)

sorry if it confused anyone, the naming patterns are very similar throughout the generations in the Harrison family. I also didn't correctly put the female maiden names down properly... my apologises!  ??? :-[
