Were they called anything else? This was listed on William Andrew Boyd's daughter's wedding certificate.

The ones often confused were:

The Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) and
The Royal Scots Fusiliers

Only the first one named had a 3/8th Battalion, a training unit which was amalgamated with other in Sep 1916 so presumably the marriage was before this date?
