"Vital Certificates"?
« on: Friday 12 July 19 20:21 BST (UK) »
An email arrives purporting to be about Somerset House but is actually from a site called Vital Certificates (vitalcertificates.co.uk) who - though they do admit to being an independent site - offer to obtain for you birth, marriage, death, adoption and divorce certificates - and wills, all for the princely sum of 24.95 per copy (reading small print 29.94 including VAT!).

They don't do a search for you, they require all details. They say they'll do it quickly, but if you want the express service that's an extra 30, so this is basically a rip-off, like those who try to charge for free services like the EHIC card. I know that almost nobody here is going to fall for this, but pass it on.
