Fletcher Family. Lapworth and Aston. Warwickshire
« on: Saturday 13 July 19 12:52 BST (UK) »
My father (Frank Graham Fletcher) was a descendent of the prolific Fletcher lot in Warwickshire. His father (Albert Archibald Fletcher) took Dad (FGF), as a child in the 1930s, to visit Lapworth and told him 'this is where our family comes from'.

We have traced the Fletchers in Lapworth from 1394 to 1790s when they suddenly disappear and re-emerge in Aston, Birmingham about 1830, just at the time when the canals and railways were making their appearance in that area. But, frustratingly, we don't have the family members for the change over period (about two generations?).

We would like to close the gap and ask; Does anybody have any relevant Fletcher contacts or insights into this matter? All thoughts gratefully received.

Greetings, and a warm welcome to Rootschat.

I see you have posted about this family on the Warwickshire board, so I recommend Rootschatters use that thread to reply in order to prevent confusion.
