Guidance: Derbyshire records 1600 to 1650
« on: Monday 15 July 19 03:03 BST (UK) »
Hello all,
I'm doing research on my founding fathers Thomas Wilder (Wylder). He left England for the colony approx 1628/29, at the age of 21/22. I think his family was from Derbyshire or the broader Yorkshire county.  Stating my search in Derbyshire. Can anyone point me to the Derbyshire records pre 1700, if there are any. I'm looking for Wilder family references. Am also interested in amy Wilders currently living in the area and with family ties to Derbyshire that link back to the 1600s. Appreciate any help.

Also Find My Past has a lot, where does the information that he was born in Derbyshire come from and do you know when and where he sailed from?

I don't know if this site is of any use to you -- but it is specific to Derbyshire.

Probably a bit 'late' for the time period in which you are interested.
