« on: Monday 15 July 19 17:51 BST (UK) »
I have some video which will run in Windows 7 but will not run on windows 10.  Is it possible to convert the windows 7 video to windows 10?

What format are the video files in; mpeg2, avi ??

I thought Windows 10 handled all the formats that Win7 did plus more

I suspect  the problem is because Microsoft discontinued Media Center the program generally used to view videos in W7. There are various alternatives available including that suggested by Midase.

Windows 10 removed support for playing DVDs, because of legal action.

VLC happily plays DVDs, and the TV recording files produced by Media Centre from W7, among many others.
