Eliza Inglesant of Quorn
« on: Wednesday 17 July 19 14:39 BST (UK) »
Eliza Inglesant, born Quorndon 1843 to thomas Inglesant and his wife Ann (nee Daykin)

I can follow her, she marries Francis (Fred) Ryder (formerly of Twyford) in 1868. He dies etc etc, three kids, Emma (Amelia), Charlotte and Jane.

Everything is fine in census until I cant find her in the 1891 and 1901 census. She died 1910. Its really bugging me. She always lived the Mountsorrel/RothleyQuorn areas which come under the barrow on soar municipality. She is an Eliza and not Elizabeth. There is a distan aunt called Eliza Ryder who had an out of wedlock son called William Brown, its definately not the same person though. I would appreciate any ideas?

Kind regards.
Leicestershire: Inglesant. Ryder. Rider. Walford. Massey. Daykin/Daikin. Newbold/Newball. Hammonds.
Great Yarmouth: Gage/Gedge. Ives. Feasley. Peartree. Royall.
Northampton, Laxton Kings Cliffe. Hercock, Heircock. Harecock. Pointon. Baxter. Burfield.
And anyone else who knows me it would seem ;-)

When does her husband die?

I guess you have found the children in the missing census and she is not with any of them  :-\

The burial record states that she was of Mountsorrel

There is an Eliza b 1848 in Buggs Yard, Main Street, Mountsorrel, in 1901 with daughters Caroline and Sarah Ann.

According to the GRO index their mother was Inglesant.

Just about to post that one DCB.  Looks promising.

Finding those 3 in 1891 would be helpful **

** transcribed as Ryan living Buggs Yard

Elizabeth 48
Caroline 9
Sarah A 4

There is a Caroline Ryder, who was a spinster, marrying Thomas William Dodge in Quorn on 9th August 1913 but gives her father as Oliver Bentley/Bendly.

Sarah Ann Ryder and Percy James Chandler were witnesses.

There are banns for Sarah Ann Ryder marrying Percy James Chandler in Quorn on 20th July 1913.

The marriage was on 10th August and Sarah also gave her father as Oliver Bentley.

Violet Inglesant was a witness.

My Eliza was not born at that time ;-(
