Did you check to see if there was a petition for naturalization in California or Nevada ?
Can't say one jumped out at me today but you would have thought he would have applied  ???

The other strange thing is that all the other children have middle names but nothing noted for William  ???

In May 1961 when Margaret Hamilton (mother) passed away - sons William and John were in California.  Margaret had 5 grandchildren at that time.  Can we account for who had those  ???

From obits and info provided by Buffalobill....

It looks like Elizabeth had 3 children, Helen had 1, and Wiiliam had 1.

We search for information but it is up to the thread owner to verify that it is correct.

I did notice very late that Cosmac had provided some obits on Thursday on the other thread but nothing was linked  ::)

So in 1961 in mother Margaret's obit (as above) no other grandchildren were recorded for William. William was still living in California at that time. Looked through Long Beach which is where he was intending to go in 1953 but nothing positive so far.

There was a Wm Hamilton (active service) in Moose Jaw on the voters list for 1945 - with a Mrs Wm Hamilton. Fourth Ave North West  (making a note there was also a Moore family living next door)

I have been slowly going through the obituaries and piecing the family together.
I have also been trying to find william Naturalisation document.  So far nothing.
