William Rippington. to a Deborah ? c1719
« on: Sunday 21 July 19 21:32 BST (UK) »
William Rippington, and Deborah, had 4 children baptised in Princes Risborough, Bucks, from 1719 to 1726.

Deborah Rippington, was buried 5 Jan 1760 • St Mary's, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. 'wife of William snr.'. no age given.!

No marriage at St Mary's, Princes Risborough, nor in Oxfordshire, and as far as I've found(with help), not married in Bucks.

Marriage only please, if anyone comes across it. ;D

Variations of the surname apply, as there are 6 of them in Princes Risborough PR's. But not before 1719, in P. Risborough.

Thanks. :)

William Riipington, bap 1 June 1691. Princes Risborough, Bucks, to Joseph & Eleanor(nee. Jonett).

No sure why that matters.   ???

The first son Joseph, was baptised 1719, P.Ris. :)

I have looked but cannot seem to find a William Rippington (and variants) marriage to Deborah.

May be a long shot but you could try looking for any baptisms of females with the first name Deborah in Princes Risborough 1670ish-1720, and note their surnames. And/or surrounding parishes. Luckily back then Deborah was not such a common forename. You could then work on them to try and connect them to William Rippington, but may be a task.

Sometimes I do that if I cannot find a actual marriage. Just an idea though.

All baptised P.Ris.

Deborah Cossington, 1691.
Deborah Plater 1685.
Deborah Wade 1693.  I think this one died...as daughter of.
Deborah Norcop 1700. (A Traveller family). Married a William Noar in Ivinghoe 1720 and she died 1724
Deborah Darvall/Darville/Darvel 1703. Married i Chesham 1725 to a Robert Cornthwait.

BucksFHS has done a marriage search, with no results. :(

Princes Risborough is not far from Oxfordshire but it is halfway up Bucks so is a long way from Bedfordshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire. You say no Oxfordshire marriage has been found. If P.ris was near another county border I would have suggested that neighbouring county but the town is in West Bucks, and the only nearby county border is Oxon. And I know Bucks is a big county.

They may have wed in London but again, cannot find a marriage, even in Fleet registers which attracted people from all over up to, and including 1753.
