I have to say a big thank you for all the research and finds today, truly amazing. I am logging everything into Family Tree Maker and once I upload it to ancestry, I am sure it will expand. Thanks again.

My name is Catherine Clarke, my mothers maiden name is McMurray.  I am very interested to have the person interested in John Henry McMurray contact me as you are referring to my family members. Moses McMurray was my grandfather and you seem to know a lot about the family. This us my first time using this site so hopefully you are able to contact me. Thank you. Catherine

Welcome to RootsChat, Catherine  :)

If you make at least one more post, you can use the PM (Personal Message) system to contact the OP (TonyMcGartland) and exchange e-mail addresses and other data. He/she was online here last month so should be receiving e-mail notifications about this thread.

Was your grandfather Moses the one who was born in 1912?
The link to his birth is in reply #1.

Thank you KG for your help. That is indeed the link, gosh its amazing what has been found. Aghadowey is indeed correct with the obituaries of Moses and his wife Georgina Rose, both died very close together in time. Netta was my great Aunt Henrietta (always Netta) - married name Talbot, Aunt Lily was indeed Elizabeth, Evelyn, Moses and Samuel (Uncle Sammy). All 5 children to John Henry McMurray and Susan who used to live in a flat over the Post office and sweet shop on the Woodvale road. Mum thinks the flat came with the job at McVicars which was at the back of post office and sweet shop. It was a joinery business and when it closed mum thinks it became a bike or car repairs shop. Haven't been there recently but someone I spoke to said it was still that business and called Davy's.......cant confirm that though.....
