Coastguard Morecambe 1861
« on: Saturday 27 July 19 11:26 BST (UK) »
Hi please can anyone help.   My hubby is a local (Morecambe, Lancs)  Coastguard station officer and our friend is Deputy S/O his surname is Cowell and they have found out that in 1861 there was a Septimus Cowell serving as a Morecambe Coastguard as our friend was born in Morecambe we were wondering if they might have been related.   I have done our friends family tree (best to my ability ) but I no longer have any details.  Would be really interested in any info on Septimus Cowell if at all possible.  Thanks in advance.   ( don't have access to any family free organisations.)

In 1871 there is a Septimus Cowell age 48 born Preston but not sure if he is your guy  :-\
This one has a wife Agnes in 1891 and is a retired ships master.

That couple married in 1851 when his occupation was mariner.  His father William a victualler.

Haven't found any children with them on a census yet.
