Burial or Cremation How to find out

Hi I'm wondering how to find out if my grandmother Winifred Armitage was buried so there will be a grave or cremated. I have a marriage certificate,  death certificate and know she died in a sanitarium hospital in Stannington 24 01 1945 as she had tuberculosis.  I have tried find a grave without success. Any tips would be helpful. I would like to visit the grave if there is one. My mum was adopted and now has passed. This is her birth mum. death cert is registered in Castle Ward Northumerland but her last address as london. so not sure if buried or cremated up in castle ward or down in london. where should i begin please. I have found rels in australia but not here in uk who can answer this question. Thank You. Ali

Do you know if it still exists?  If so I would contact them directly to see if they have any records that might help with your query. 

Was she a widow or married when she died?  She may be buried with her husband or close relative.

Do you know if it still exists?  If so I would contact them directly to see if they have any records that might help with your query. 

Although initially set up to treat children suffering with tuberculosis the hospital became a general children's hospital in 1953 when tuberculosis went into decline following the introduction of antibiotic treatments and eventually closed in 1984 https://www.northumberlandarchives.com/exhibitions/stannington/index.html

Have you any idea when / where she might have been born? There's a Winifred A born 1896 with parents George and Mary Ann, in 1901 and 1911. She's a dressmaker, and seems to have married in 1923 a William Williamson, in Ealing. But that Winifred may have been the one who died in Somerset? Is that any help at all? even by eliminating her?

What was the address in London for Winifred on the death certificate and who was the informant and their address
