Morrison family of Moville.
« on: Tuesday 30 July 19 17:31 BST (UK) »
Hi :) any Idea's to help find a document to prove the birth of Jennie Morrison born 6/2/1880 to the family of Robert and Sarah Gibson Morrison of Gulladuff Moville. they had 13 children, Jennie is the only one I do not have a birth document for. I have her on the 1901 and 1911 census.  Where or how I arrived at the birth date????? I can only put it down to old age. Any help would be appreciated.
All the best Bruce.

This Search on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp  will find any BDM reg for them, you can select Marriages or whatever and year ranges

Might be useful if you need to look for other or another Surname etc

Hi All  :) After checking the site's and the records, it is the right family. birth "Jane" census "Jennie" as the 1911 gives me 13 children and I have 13, then Jane can only fit in with Jennie. I hope this makes sense???  Robert father of the 13 married Sarah Jane Gibson on the 8/3/1870, I can not find his birth. ??? any help would be of great importance to me as Robert is my Gt grandfather. all the best Bruce.

https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/civil-records/help/what-civil-records-are-on-line

Only started 1864

Civil Records of Births, Marriages and Deaths

Births:1864 to 1918

Marriages: 1845* to 1943

Deaths: 1864 to 1968

*non-Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1845, Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1864

so you'd need Church records!

When the father died Robert's brother registered the Death.

Don't have time to look for Mother's Death at moment.  That will get you his Parents....then maybe their Marriage in 1840/50's

Time for dinner!
