If you know Lily's date of birth you can use it to look for Percy in 1939 (it could have been in late 1895 or 1896.)

Looking at Lily's siblings:

Ernest Nathan BROWN appears to have married Kate Caroline Jennie MORTIMER Sept qtr 1908 registered at Ipswich (4a/1929)

He appears on the 1911 census at Ipswich
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWND-8VX

And looks like he died Mar qtr 1974 registered at Samford (4b/3246)

There are WWI service records for him available which someone else may be able access.  :)

Charles Alexander BROWN is a bit trickier as there were 2 Charles BROWNs registered in Ipswich in 1891, so tracing the right one without certificates is more difficult. However, there is the possibility he married Mabel E DOUBLE in Dec qtr 1915 at Ipswich (4a/3167).

In the 1911 census with his parents, Charles is an upholsterer.

A William Frederick BROWN died Ipswich Dec qtr 1977 (10/2461), but again, without the certificates it's uncertain whether this is Lily's brother.

And again - just a possibility Bertie Redvers BROWN possible death Mar qtr 1938 Ipswich (4a/1315)

Ernest Nathan BROWN was the driver of a train involved in a serious train crash in 1944:

"Fifteen persons were killed and double that number were injured when a train from Norwich ran into the rear of a train from Yarmouth at Ilford Station last night."
 The Times. (Jan. 17, 1944)

A report of the inquest notes that Ernest, from Ipswich, was the driver of the Yarmouth train. There are quite a few articles about the event in the newspapers of the day.

Since it has now been established that the daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth Brown was named Lily Clara Kate it appears that she was not the plain Lily Brown who married Walter Markwell!!

Lily C K Brown married a Robert Sharman in 1921 - she died as Lily Clara K. Sharman born 19/1/1896  in Sept.1970 Ipswich.

As has already been suggested you need to get the marriage certificate of Walter and Lily to establish the name of her father.

The surname Brown is always a minefield to deal with when little is known - indeed all we know (apart from her marriage) is that when she died in June qtr.1922 she was 26 I.e. born latter half of 1895 or early 1896.   At her marriage and death she is plain Lily and there is only one plain Lily Brown born 1895 to 1896 in Suffolk - however, this is not 'your' Lily either as this one died unmarried in 1947.

So, either she was not born in Suffolk at all, or if she was hadn't been born as a plain Lily.   There were only 3 Lily's born in Suffolk 1895-1896 - plain Lily above who died unmarried 1947, Lily Clara Kate who married a Robert Sherman and Lily Florence reg'd June qtr.1896 Ipswich.  The latter had sisters who also had 2 christian names which they used as adults - however, at the moment cannot see what became of Lily Florence after 1911 so maybe this was 'your' Lily and she dropped her second name.   We could conjecture till the cows come home.

The only way to try and identify who 'your' Lily was is to obtain her marriage certificate I'm afraid.

Oh, that's right. A good lesson in the value of certificates!   :D
