Hi
I am looking for the parents of my 3x great grandmother Louisa Mepham.
She was born in Chichester in 1812 according to census records. She died in 1858 in London.
She married Henry Godden and had five children in Brighton.,before moving to Shadwell ,London.

Thanks a lot, pity there were no parents listed in those days,I haven’t a clue who either of their parents were.

Think this is probably the baptism of her husband:

Henry Gooden bp.24/9/1807 Brighton, illeg. son of Elizabeth.

Thanks, yes it’s a possibility. He always had his birth as 1809, but it isn’t far out.
I am frustrated at not finding anything regarding Louisa, I have trawled through baptisms and although Mepham seems to be a recurrent name in Sussex, I cannot find her.

There's Louisa Godden, death registered Stepney, Dec 1858, age 46
Buried at Victoria Park Cemetery, 7 November.
Of Milk Yard, Shadwell

That seems to be the right one!
