« on: Thursday 01 August 19 09:39 BST (UK) »
Yes I still have this programme on my computer running off windows 7 and I love it

However having to get new computer with windows 10

Does anyone know whether the 2006 version is compatible or suggest a programme that is similar

I have Family tree maker on my computer but I hate it with a passion

 Suggestions would be so welcome

Not sure I understand your question. First you say you love Family Tree Maker, then you say you hate it.
If you are asking how to replace FTM 2006 then I would recommend you just upgrade to the current version.

I have FTM 2006 Disc which I've used on XP, Vista & now Windows 10 with no problem but if you're using a downloaded version I can't comment.

I dont like 2014 version and have been working with 2006 on windows 7

I am having to get a new computer windows 10 and I wanted to know if the 2006 will function with windows 10
Or can anyone know of a better programme  Thanks Jen

You don't say if the versions you have are Disc/Downloaded?

I have emphasised I have 2006 Disc which has worked with no problem on either XP/Vista/W10

I don't know how Downloaded versions work i.e. if you're using a downloaded version of 2006 I can't comment.
