There are lots of marriages on the page, all have more detail than mine-typical.I appreciate your help.I actually wrote to Scotlands people, they couldnt find anything on Janes husband.Could she have been made to marry him to pay off a debt?

i have the death certificates, and yes Janes mother was Elizabeth Rough.

What evidence do you have that names her mother as Elizabeth Rough

Its on Family search.I have the right family, just need to know who Andrew was.Its misleading, almost every age and name is different.I suppose poor old Andrew didnt have anyone in the world, only Jane.

This is what it says for the wedding of Jane to Andrew.Andrew Higgins.shoemaker NGFP of Jane Wright same parish daughter of David Wright printer Edr.3 promises,no objections.
Is NGFP a parish?

Is the father of Andrew not given with his occ. on the marriage?...You'd think if he was the Andrew aged 70 on the 1841 census he'd be mentioned on the marriage with his connection to the Military?

Did they give fathers names in those days?  I presumed it had the father for Jane only because she was under age and needed permission to marry.  Sorry am not as familiar with Scottish marriage records.

Assuming the Andrew Higgins/Higgens in Dorset was her father in law then her husband must have died between 1825 and 1839 but where and what made her leave Scotland and travel all the way to Dorset  :-\  Probably never know.
