Although I haven't been able to get to the Bata History Centre or the library in Grays I wondered if you had seen this.  Its on the memorial which is just out side the School I believe this is your granddad's name.

no haven't seen it before. I live in the Netherlands so it's not very likely that I'll be able to visit the Bata History Center soon.
