Drohan
« on: Saturday 03 August 19 03:08 BST (UK) »
Wondering if anyone has information about my great grandmother Johanna Drohan. She was possibly born 1810 in Dungarvan or Stradbally, Co Waterford. She married my great grandfather John Power in approximately 1835 possibly in that area.
I have the names and dates of their children who were all born in Stradbally or Abbeyside.
Thanks,
Biddyp

Thank you Hallmark. However my previous threads do not help me with finding any information re Johanna Drohan's parents or any other information about her.
Cheers,

Was Johanna's husband named John or Patrick, you have used both on your threads.  Were they Catholic?

Have you checked the sponsors for the children for any further information.
For example, Ann’s sponsor in 1837 looks to be Andrew Drohan.

Dundee, thank you for your reply. Yes they were Catholic and my great grandfather's name was John Power who was married to Johanna Drohan. My grandfather's name (their child) was Patrick Power.

Thank you Heywood, for your reply. I'm not sure how to check for the sponsors. Also Honora Drohan was David Power's sponsor.
