Whilst Researching James Fitchew Cox (b: 1806, Bedminster, Bristol) we have some significant markers:
1844, 26 Jun: Marries Catherine Ranyard (Spinster, Full Age) at Kingston, Surrey
1849, ## ###: Annie Catherine Cox born, Barbados {source: FamilySearch}
1849, 03 Aug: Annie Catherine Cox christened Barbados, St. Michael {source: FamilySearch}
1850, 23 Nov: Rosa Ranyard Cox born Barbados {source: FamilySearch}
1851, 28 Feb: Rosa Ranyard Cox christened St Michael, Barbados {source: FamilySearch}
1852, Q4: James Fitchew Cox dies Bedminster, Bristol.
1852, 04 Nov: James Fitchew Cox is buried, Yatton Somerset,
We have looked, on both Ancestry & FamilySearch, for passenger lists both 'To' and 'From' Barbados, to see if any other members of the family travelled with them. It is clear that Rosa Ranyard Cox travelled in the return party as she appears in a number of subsequent UK census returns. It is to us a mystery what happened to Annie Catherine Cox as there are no subsequent footprints for her.
Whilst we have been offered passenger lists to South Africa and Tasmania, nothing has been offered for Barbados, what if anything are we doing wrong?
Any help and/or guidance would be appreciated, Thank you.
