Ann Ward, Coney Island 1842
« on: Saturday 03 August 19 21:16 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have a relative born in Sligo around 1842 called Ann Ward. I believe she married Michael McDonnell in Calry in 1860 and had a daughter called Maria Anna McDonnell in 1861, and later Michael Egan and moved to England some time before the 1871 Census. The 1891 Census says that she was born on Coney Island. Could anyone help with any information which could be a about her or her family on the island please? I do not know when Michael McDonnell died or when she married Michael Egan (b. apox 1849 in Roscommen). I do not have any actual documents from her early life other than the census.
Many thanks, Luke

Thank you  :)
I can’t find the place which is given on the marriage - maybe someone with local knowledge would be able to help. I can’t see it as an alternative name.

Here is Mary Ann’s birth - that is Coney Island

Have you already got this?
