Good day,

i would like to know where would the best place to start researching my great grand mother, she was born 1881 15 March Germany. my grandfather had a note that in his bible with her full names maria elizabeth wulff 15 March 1881 HUMBURG, my guess is it's Hamburg.

Hi, she was born a Wulff. She married my great grandfather a dreyer. According to some family members she travelled with her father to South Africa by boat. I have her full names, date of birth and Hamburg. on my grandfathers baptism her surname was spelt different Woelff, but i think that might be wrong.

What was your grandfathers name.
Or better still, post your grandfathers Baptism cert

Hi, this is some of the info i have. The surname have been spelt different on some of the documents. i will try to get her fathers name, i have asked before but got different names. one i remember is Gustav.

Hi,

Do you have anything which points to her being born in Hamburg, Germany?
Seeing as the documents are from S. Africa, maybe it was Hamburg, S.A.? (About 150 miles east of Port Elizabeth.)
