1911 Census lookup, please - MASKELL *COMPLETED*
« on: Tuesday 06 August 19 15:35 BST (UK) »
Hi Sussex Rootschatters,

I'm trying to identify the Edith MASKELL whose death (aged 28) was registered at Eastbourne in Q3 1905 with the Edith AVERY who married Frank Maskell in Eastbourne district, Q2 1901.

Judging by mother's maiden surname in the births index there were three children born before Edith's death, viz.
Clement Frank (Q4 1901)
Olive Edith (Q1 1903)
Eslie Joel (Q1 1905)
all births registered in Uckfield.

Anything that a kind Rootschatter can tell me about this family in the 1911 census would be very appreciated. I'm especially keen to know the birth locations of the children and to see if Frank is a widower. (Though there's a chance he may have remarried before 1911 - if he's the Frank Maskell whose marriage was registered in Uckfield in Q4 1906.)

Thanks in advance,
Stovepipe

Many thanks, JenB, for an incredibly speedy reply and informative - the link tells me all I need to know.

Looks like Frank did remarry. Alice is a bit of a surprise.

Thanks again
