I am trying to find a marriage for Bernard Gilchrist
The information I already have is:
Born 20th May 1919 in Manchester to Sidney Harry Gilchrist and Gertrude White
He became a forest officer in Mufindi  Records show him travelling in 1944 solo Address 59 Torkington Road Gatley Cheshire
He left London again in 1949 but appears to be travelling with Ethel Gregory aged 59 and her daughter Jean Watson Gregory aged 18  Address 5 Bridgewater Road Walkden Lancashire  He marries Jean Watson in 1952

Tanganyika) only son of Mr & Mrs S H Gilchrist (Sidney Harry) , of Gatley Cheshire to JEAN WATSON daughter of Mr & Mrs H D Gregory (Henry Douglas) of Walkden Lancashire
All this checks out but included in another newspaper article is this record:  GILCHRIST - On Aug 12th 1946 at Mufindi Tanganyika ETHEL the loved wife of BERNARD GILCHRIST, Forest Office Mufindi (information received by cable)  Home address: 59 Torkington Road Gatley Cheshire  I can find no record of this marriage and appear to have hit a brick wall Just wondering if he married her in Tanzania?

There is a marriage for Bernard Gilchrist and Ethel Gregory , 1Q 1945 Barton, Lancs , 8c 1205.

Might she be the sister of Jean Watson Gregory ?

There is an Outbound journey for Ethel Gilchrist 23 , 5 Bridgewater Road Walkden , teacher , going to Tanganyika. 25 Feb 1946.
